 Burty has been remapped.
I'll write a short review for now as I can't give any fuel consumption figures yet. Before remapping, Burty delivered a lot of power between certain points on his rev range in 1st and 2nd gears, 3rd was a little 'longer lived' but without the same amount of 'zip', 4th and 5th were pretty reasonable if you were doing a speed that they liked.
After the remap, the power delivery overall is more 'turbine' like.
The power delivery is given pretty much as soon as your right foot asks for it, and, there is more of it from just about the begining of the rev counter to, well not quite the 'red line' as I never go there, but certainly to the end of where your supposed to ;) 'change up'. Talking of 'changing up', gear change is a bit easier as the revs build up and die back in a way that facilitates smoother 'cog swaps'
My wife took the car to work and on arrival rang me as I requested to tell me her findings, she said "It's definately faster, and I didn't need to change gears to overtake". Then she moaned at me again about spending "our" 'hard earned' on toys, which is ironic, because with her "I'm busy, get out of my way" lead foot, she will probably get more benifit out of Johns work than I will:o I can't win;)
Thank you John, I put some money in my current acount now, so the cheque is good:eek: and you welcome to use this review if you think it's up to the job, please edit it if you like so I look like I passed o'level English:confused:
please use my forum name if you do use this review.

 and I didn't need to change gears to overtake.

That sums mine up perfectly too on any road situation, motorway, country lanes etc - its just torque, torque, torque.

Little update here.....
I used to get about 210 miles on £20 of diesel
This is a very rough guess (I will give a more methodicaly calculated figure soon) but I now get 225-230 miles on £20 of juice:)
70% at 80mph on motorway 30% booting it around locally:laughing:
Burty goes like a rocket too... :beerchug:
I floored him off the lights last night, nasty little boy racer car gave up before I got to 3rd gear:laughing:     . That little triangle light thing keeps flashing at me though when its wet it the 1st 3 gears:D I can't change gear quick enough!
Gotta watch that torque steer though!!could end up in a hedge:eek:
I wish Burty was rear wheel drive;)
