Hi.
Just signed on to this site and glad to be here. I've been admiring the workmanship of you bugs and look forward to checking out how you all do what you do. Thanks to PorscheTrimr and Blugg for turning me on to this site.
I own a Black Y2k 1.8t New Beetle, which is modded cosmetically, but I really want to start on the performance end of things. As soon as I can scrape some coins together, I'll get started and will post pics as well. Here's one pic.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm In Jacksonville Florida, which is on the Northeast border of Florida- just on the southern fringe of Georgia. Billsbug will attest to the fact that Jacksonville is often teased as South Georgia:D. I hope I can be of some help to you down the road.
Glad to be here:cool:

Thanks:). Now aren't you the one who I called a dude on 'the org' by mistake?? Oops- my bad:eek:. I didn't mean it honest. I still love your bug and all you've done to it.
This place has a pretty cool vibe to it. I'm liking it- thanks for the welcome.

I dunno if you'll be glad to have this 'Canadian' here. All my subsequent posting might get me excommunicated:D
Thanks for the laughs. You'll see me around sure enough.

Thanks for the props. I'm gonna have to check out your thread on your bug for some inspiration.
As far as the mods that I can think of at this moment (i'm sure i'm forgetting something), they are.
Cold air intake
APR Chip (ECS Tuning) to 240whp
Cat-back exhaust..At least. I really want to go turbo-back
Coil-over shocks
'Cup has about 103,000 mi on her, so I think a new K04 is in order too.
I'm sure i'm forgetting somethin but I think that's a good start:).
As soon as I scrape the coins together, I'll keep you all posted on the progress.

Is it just me? I can't seem to find the section for "readers rides" pics. I really want to dive into the work that some of you 1-8's have done. Guess I better put that search tab to use:D

Here you go Dude. Sadly i've been a bit secretive with my pics as i did show them but then withdrew them so when it's all done in a month it'll look Uber Cool ;)

If you want the most performance I'd suggest getting yours over to Mark at Autospeed or Tony at European Performance Labs, proper tuning :)
