Just thought I would do a proper introduction as I have lurked for some time now....

The newbie is actually the wife's although I do drive it as much as possible (until she puts too much pink on it!). I recently sold my 68 beetle and bought a 81 T25 camper as my weapon of choice...also have ordered a new Jetta for mid-August to replace my work car.

Recently bumped into "Charlie"?? on way back from Wolfsburg at a petrol station down southish and being sad had to say hello when i recognised the car!

Plenty of stock newbies up here but never really see any personalised!

Good aircooled scene(see link in my sig)...not too sure about on Skye though but I do think there are a couple of our club members who possibly live/work there! I know they get a lot of aircooled visitors though :)

Is it Sunny up that way today and do you have many VW shows up there. Last time and i think the only time i went to Scotland was Aviemore to see Father Christmas. Happy to report back it was Snowing all week and Father Christmas is actually real ;)

Glorious sunshine today (sunday) and most other days too!

Only get 1 proper VW show - Volksfling...been last 3 years and gets better each year, "standing" room only this year. Good local scene mostly for aircooled.

Was in Aviemore last week for 4 days....unbelievable sunny weather, went to beach (yes there are sandy beaches round Loch Morlich), canoeing, chilling and there was even snow still in sheltered areas on tops of Cairngorms.

Santa Claus Land (a theme park) is now closed sadly...remember it so well from my childhood.

He must of had a better offer from Lapland :laughing:
