Virtually the whole show goes on a massive cruise on Sat afternoon, with the main show happening on the Sunday. :)

Yeah the cruise is ace, done it a few times in my last bug, everyone comes out of the local villages and waves etc as well, its ace! :) Plus they have Wild Boars there as well, who LOVE apples :)

Hiya, I took the whole family last year, didn't have a bug at the time, was looking for a TD T25, this year we are going in burty, my silver tdi bug with little butterflies on my rear number plate, and wipers that work...most of the time:D

lol, true, last time you saw me i got a parking ticket for illegally parking in Swansea! The 2nd field is at the end of the road. Go over the bridge and follow the road - can't miss it.

Go wherever you think is a good space :) Just find somewhere with enough space so we're not all squished in together with loads of other clubs etc where you can't breathe it's so tight!

Warning, 2nd field is exposed to the wind from the south west (i.e. off the sea) between the field and the sea is the steel works – if it is windy it can be a pretty unpleasant place to be ;) try and stick to the first field if we can, enough of us to clear a big space – also portaloo’s only in the 2nd field, even if you don’t use them see earlier comments re wind ;)

Easy guide for S&S:

Arrive Friday – park up camp, drink be merry – help Neil clean dirty black new bug, enjoy Saturday - more merriment and the cruise. Sunday – register at S&S ‘office’ from 9-10am onwards (depending on how much Will and I drank on Sat night!), park up in a category – guided by my good self or Will – look for stupid colour t-shirts! Await for judging (that’ll be me and Will again ;) )

No different if you arrive on Saturday really – just less merriment ;)

Cruise – you have to assemble your cars in model order on the main car park I think from 10am onwards?, no worries just wait for the announcements over the loud speaker, you won’t miss it if you want to go honest!

Not sure to be honest - looks like some weather coming in from the west at the moment, lots of cloud out to sea. This is forecast for tomorrow so looks like the low has moved in quicker overnight - which should leave clear weather and a building high behind it?

I am about 60 miles further west from the show though, so if it doesn't move over quickly it could hang around here all day and hit Margam tonight?

It looks like it could be a re run of last year, OK ish on Friday, some showers on Saturday and then much better on Sunday - none of which bothers me really :)

Hiya, just been up to margam. Filling up nicely there. Daughter No1 tested out Tony's trampoline and the free face painting in the big tent.
My wife now wants a camper as she was so jelous of all the people camping, but won't use the tent because of the rain - when it comes:confused: .

A tdi transporter is on the cards I think, the rain won't matter then.

Just spoke to Geoff, apparently the campsite is pretty muddy and boggy, plus twats in 4x4's have been driving it around making it worse :( I'm in two minds whether to bother tonight now, looked at hotels, but at £63 a night not gonna bother with them! I'll see of the weather improves later, if not we'll just go for the day tomorrow, if the weather bad still tho it'll be in the Mini :(

Steve and I were trying to remember if there was a show this year where it didn't rain! The only one we've been to is Stanford Hall - don't think it rained there cos we remember sitting with Luke and Gem behind Harry on the floor.

At least for most of the show tomorrow we'll be parked on tarmac and won't need to drive on the grass (if you're doing the s&s/club stand thing). Only grass we'll go on will be around the stalls. Hopefully that won't be too bad.

I drove all the way down there from Birmingham in the van yesterday (saturday). I went straight to Porthcawl and picked up the cruise before it got to the front. There was a good turnout considering the crap weather. I cruised back to the park with the intention of looking round the show for a couple of hours but to be honest, by the time I got there it was really raining again and the camping area was fast turning into a mudbath! :(

I headed off home about 4pm in the end. The journey back was cool though...

I stayed on the M4 and crossed the new Severn bridge and then all the way back up the M5 I was in a little mini convoy of vans which was great fun, never had so many smiles and waves off other cars :D

By the way....Hello to Joes 3 Bug! i was next to you in Porthcawl! ;)

Robbie looks great. I like Empi alloys, I may scrounge around for some black un's to go with Burty's silver paint job though.

Thanks :) they come in silver or chrome (or did when I got mine) so you'd have to either paint or powdercoat them black - I'd reccomend the latter cos the original finish is crap and rusts so painting over it prob wouldn't stop it.
