http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/6518/4192964459487375a39zv6.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

I have owned the car for over a year now, and have put a lot of money into it to reach its current condition. The only reason for the sale is that I need a less powerful car for insurance reasons! I will be genuinely upset and sad to see this car leave! Its turns so many heads and appeals to all types of car enthuasiasts! I've even got a thumbs up from a Japanese car show!!!!

I have a full service history for the car, and it has been most recently serviced by Neil Garner Performance Engineering (www.neilgarner.co.uk)

I have never had any problems with the car, apart from one flat tyre a few months ago!
It drives and runs perfect.

This is a list of the work that has been carried out on this car-

* Tinted windows front and back including safety film. (tints not illegal shade)

* 18'' Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 wheels, with Kumho Ecsta tyres on all corners with loads of tread left. Wheels in excellent condition, not one kerb mark.

*An almost new Milltek 'cat back' exhaust which was again fitted by Neil Garner Performance Engineering. The exhaust has done very few miles.

* The car has been lowered on KW fully adjustable coilovers including shocks, both height and rebound adjustable.

* The car boasts a custom interior, designed and made by LICS (www.licsltd.co.uk). It features a unique blend of Black and grey leather. The rear also has black alcantara arm rests, again custom made for the car.

* There is a DVD flip up head unit inside the car.

* B & M Short Shift Gear Stick

* The car has had a front mounted intercooler fitted, which brings a lot of attention as there are very few beetles that have this modification. The intercooler is capable of handling 400+ BHP.

The intercooler has been installed using only SAMCO hoses, as can be seen in the pictures!

* Accompanying the intercooler is a Viper Induction kit, complete with a cold air feed which runs from the front bumper directly to the filter.

* The beetle has a de-badged bonnet, creating a smooth look to the front end.

* The front end has been upgraded to Volkswagen's 'Votex' front end, this work was carried out by BMS Developments using only genuine VW parts.

I recently had the car on a rolling road, as I was interested to see the improvements in power that the modifications have provided. It reached a top power of 177 BHP at 5700 RPM and recorded 182 Lbs / FT Peak Torque. The standard power for this car, from the factory is 150 BHP.
This test was carried out by Power Engineering in London, and I have the print out for proof.

I have spoken to many tuning companies about the potential of this car with its modifications, as I had the intention of remapping the ECU. I have been quoted figures of 250 BHP from various different companies including Jabba Motorsport and The Derv Doctor.

The car was recently taxed for a year and MOT in April.

The bodywork is in good condition, but not mint. It has a few stone chips on the front from motorway driving and a couple of minor marks on the wings, I don't think you will notice them, but I will point them out to any viewers.

If you would like confirmation on the condition of both the general car itself and especially the engine you may contact Neil Garner himself (www.neilgarner.co.uk) as he has had the car in his workshop for a full service very recently.

I am open to sensible offers for this car, but not interested in a part exchange. Please get in contact if you have a serious interest.

Please do not hesitate to email me with any questions, no matter how silly they may sound! I am very happy to help out as much as I can. Test drives and viewings can be arranged for GENUINE interest. I can also send more pictures of certain areas if required.

( please not the personalised seat! The patch with my name sewn on will be replaced with a standard black leather patch to match the interior if sold. Unless you're very odd and want to keep it!!)

hey charlie, don't worry! It certainly won't be the last of me! I am looking for around about £9000 for the car, and probably wouldn't take any less. I've based my price on the offer given to me by my local VW garage and the other 1.8T's up for sale at the moment, and have clearly taken into account all the add ons to the car!

its only ever a very temporary feeling of selling believe me....i just dont know what to do next. i need to make some more cash - working away is getting me about 250pw extra after expenses so thats good but then away from home so much aint great. and its not every week i am away, just last 3wks so cant rely on it being consistent.

sometimes i just ogle other cars like new shape mr2s, skylines etc ;)
