Images in Signatures
To add a picture to your signature the image needs to be stored on a publicly accessible web server e.g http://www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com/) and then make sure you enclose the full URL in tags like :
[ IMG]http://www.mysite.com/my-picture.jpg (http://www.mysite.com/my-picture.jpg)
Click on the link to take you into your profile and then choose the Edit Signature option. Insert the link to you image in the "Signature" box. Don't forget to include the tags.
Images in Posts
The easiest way to put one in a post is to use the Manage Attachments option on your thread when posting. Simply click this and either upload the file direct from your PC or include the full web link from where you have stored the image on the world wide web.
Please use this feature as this helps to reduce bandwidth and annoying large photos in posts.
Images should be resized where possible to 800 x 600 in dimensions to reduce the need for scrolling across the screen
CLICKABLE SIG IMAGES
To make the image in your sig clickable use the following...
[ URL=http://www.domain.com/pagetodisplay.html][img]http://www.domain.com/mypic.jpg (http://www.domain.com/mypic.jpg)
Don't forget that sigs can only contain a maximum of 200 characters and should be set to 520 x 140 to make them easy viewing and uniformed across the forum.
If you need help with a signature resizing please send it to chris@evvo.co.uk
NOTE
1. The HTTP:// in front of the image URL is important so don't miss it off.
2. Image types supported by the forum are :
Joint Photographic Experts Group (.jpg or .JPEG)
Graphics Interchange Format (.GIF)
Portable Network Graphics (.PNG)
