Ooo sounds interesting !
Dubs@DNA perhaps ?

My Dad lives in Warwick so we could combine a family visit with a show :D

Actually that's given me an idea that maybe we could have a new beetle show, start our own event!?

Maybe a Midlands version of Reading ?

Or a DNA openday with a meet combined ?

An Open day, neighbours would love me! I'm thinking having something on a campsite where we can have a show'n'shine, barbecue, friendly weekend type of thing. If it was a new beetle mainly type of thing how many peeps would come???

Maybe that's why they won't let you into the Rugby Club Dude. Leave their posts alone, then they might reconsider it.

What's wrong with the fields by the Band Stand ?? Plenty of parking there. No need to go way over to the rugby bit :)

I'm sure there would be somewhere in Stratford that would allow the use of somewhere to hold it. I know i can book plenty of fields around where i live without any problems ;)

John@DNA

You know the grassed area right at the bottom which is shut off during winter.Down past the childrens play area

John@DNA
6th June 2007, 12:22
You mean the Recreation ground surely, not the Bancroft?

If so doubt they let us use that as it's paid parking and they make a mint from that, unless we got use of the sports bit?

markymark
6th June 2007, 12:29

John@DNA

Bancroft is the area around the theatre, can you remember what car club it was?

markymark

No sorry, I just remember they had a nice Porsche 356 sat there which is why I remember them!

John@DNA
6th June 2007, 14:15
Porsche club maybe at a guess....

How many cars you reckon were there?

markymark
6th June 2007, 14:24
Think it may have been a Porsche Club, but I do remember seeing other classics there too. Im sure there were some old aircooled dubs. It was so long ago I can only remember the 356. Not sure on numbers im afraid, im not being very helpful really am I! You dont have to answer that!

Blugg
6th June 2007, 15:20
Been having a little think and doing a bit of research ;)

If you have the event just outside of Stratford there seems to be plenty of fields. Albeit you'll need a pretty flat field, but there seems to be a lot to choose from around the surrounding area. :)

Farmers or private land owners are always looking for some cash to host stuff in their fields. Least they are round my way, can't be that different up that end either ;)

Just need to keep track of the Show's thread. September would surely be the best bet and it would still be hot then. And it would be a nice round off to the event year and could become a yearly event :) :)

Tatton park there are a few going judging by the list. Seems people don't like to commit unless it's 2 weeks before the event. :(
