Hi all, just thought I'd introduce myself :)
I've got a '62 air-cooled bug myself but managed to convince my girlfriend to get a new one a few months back... well ok, it didn't take much convincing really ;)
Anyway, it's an '01 1.6 in yellow - I'll post some pics after I've collected her new wheels tomorrow evening :D

Love the rag - it's gorgeous!
New wheels are ace too!!! They were ones I was considering when I was looking for wheels for mine - they look ace on yellow!

Thanks muchly - had my bug 10yrs this summer, and done 2 restos on it in that time  The rear wheels are stock rims banded out to about 8", instead of 4.5" original iirc. Running 205 width tyres out back with stock 155s up front. I love 'em and couldn't go back to stock skinny rears now :D
Well pleased with the wheels on the newbie, which is a relief as I suggested them but wasn't the one paying ;) The bug will mostly be spotted parked at least a foot from the kerb from now on, lol.
